Ushers-old

Any act of service that directs people into fellowship with Jesus is a worthy gift from God and a very important ministry. The usher serves as a “Frontline Representative” of Jesus Christ for a worship service here at OCPC. Scripture says: “A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the house of the wicked. For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.” Psalm 84:10-12

Please do not underestimate the ministry/position of an Usher/Gatekeeper. A front line presence is so important, whether a clerk at a hotel desk, a bank teller, or a teenager at your favorite fast food restaurant, I’m sure you know what a difference it makes to be served well. It makes so much difference, it can determine whether or not you ever return.
